Introducing Cleanfeed Cinema

The future of synchronous remote collaboration in audio and video production is here.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Cleanfeed Cinema at this year’s NAB Show (Booth SU3055), April 14-17. Our brand new solution that combines crystal clear audio with a groundbreaking real-time, high frame rate video stream, specifically designed for synchronous remote collaboration and audio production in the film and broadcast industry, plus much more.

The seamless solution for remote audio recording and review

Cleanfeed Cinema is the answer to the industry’s demand for a single tool that provides professionals with both video and audio access when working remotely with talent, production teams and clients. Whether you’re recording ADR, mixing sessions, narration, dubbing, or conducting real-time audio reviews with remote guests, Cleanfeed Cinema offers a seamless and efficient solution.

A legacy of innovation

Founded in 2014 by Marc Bakos and Mark Hills, we have already made a significant mark in the broadcast and post-production industries. With an Emmy Award for Cleanfeed in 2022 and an Academy Award for Mark Hills in the Scientific and Technical category. We have an enviable reputation for delivering live, unadulterated audio over the internet in real-time.

Clients include Warner Brothers, Telegael, Parabolic, Forever Audio, and Hollywood Scoring, with credits on popular projects like Star Trek: Discovery, The Crown, The Walking Dead, and The Queen’s Gambit.

Pushing technological boundaries

“Video was increasingly important, but if we were going to do it, it had to be done thoughtfully and with Cleanfeed flair,” – Mark Hills.

We have developed a proprietary video delivery technology designed to minimise latency and deliver a high-definition image at a consistent frame rate. This is crucial for users working on frame-accurate footage with audio, where any delay can ruin a take.

Unlike other solutions that use buffered delivery methods for video, Cleanfeed Cinema ensures that “it’s everything, everywhere at exactly the same time,” as Bakos points out. This innovative approach provides a synchronised and collaborative environment for remote audio and video production.

Key features and benefits

  • Single tool, multiple possibilities: Cleanfeed Cinema is a comprehensive solution without the need to couple with other products, with a fixed annual cost of £2000, $2500, or €2300 for up to 16 guests. It’s no longer necessary to “watch the clock” as is the case with other products that are charged per hour.
  • No client licenses: Studios can purchase a single license, share a link with collaborators (who don’t need their own license), and begin capturing high-quality, multitrack audio over the web.
  • Browser-based and straightforward: No installation or firewall configuration required. It can run on a local editing workstation or a separate machine, and there are no uploads, file transfers, downloads, or special hardware to deal with.
  • Privacy and security: All footage sent is secure, and sessions remain private with no data at rest on Cleanfeed servers.
  • Seamless integration: Sessions can be routed directly to ProTools, and with Cleanfeed’s Aux Outputs, users can assign a unique audio output device for each remote collaborator and route remote audio to their preferred editing software.

Transforming remote collaboration

Cleanfeed Cinema now sits alongside Cleanfeed Pro, giving users an audio and video solution that offers crystal clear sound, very low latency and no buffering.

“Cleanfeed changes the way audio professionals work by allowing them the flexibility and agility to record talent anywhere in the world,” says Bakos. “Recording remotely with Cleanfeed feels like a real conversation. Multiple people can be brought together, and no matter how many people are taking part, a Cleanfeed session will always feel as though everyone is in the same room.”
