Meet Craig. The brains behind the most recent filming project at Lamex Stadium, Stevenage. He recently used Cleanfeed Cinema to transmit live camera feeds to his directors and producers. This is how he achieved it.
Craig Longman from CPL Films needed to stream live camera feeds from a multi-camera shoot to remote producers and directors. Raphael from LightTone Studios handled the camera work. Meanwhile, Craig focused on getting those feeds out in real time — with low latency, high quality, and no specialist software on the viewing end. Here’s how he put it all together.
The brief
CPL Films took on a commission to produce a series of player interviews for Stevenage FC. The shoot took place pitch side at Lamex Stadium, with players filmed in their kits against the backdrop of the stands. However, the directors and clients needed to watch every take as it happened — and they weren’t at the stadium. Instead, they were sitting in their offices and homes elsewhere in the UK!
Because of this, Craig needed to get all four camera angles to his remote team in real time. More importantly, the quality and latency had to be good enough for them to direct the shoot and give meaningful feedback between takes.
The setup
Craig built his rig around a mix of Canon C80 and C400 cameras. He positioned them around the stands to capture wide, mid, and close-up angles on each player. From there, SDI outputs from each camera fed into a Decimator DMON-QUAD through a combination of wired SDI runs and wireless video transmitters. In short, this compact multiviewer combined all four feeds into a single quad-split output.
Next, Craig routed that quad-split SDI signal into a laptop running Cleanfeed Cinema. On the audio side, he connected a Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface. This gave him a clean mono mix of the on-set audio to accompany the video stream. As a result, the remote directors could see all four camera angles at once and talk to Craig in real time.
The whole monitoring station sat on a small cart pitch side. It included a laptop, DMON-QUAD, Focusrite, and cabling — all compact enough to tuck into a corner of the stadium. Despite its small footprint, it gave Craig full visibility of what he was transmitting.

Remote directing, made simple
Once Cleanfeed Cinema was running, two to three remote viewers simply joined the session from their browsers. They didn’t need any special software, plugins, or complicated firewall configuration. Instead, they could see the quad-split of all four cameras updating in real time, hear the on-set audio, and talk back to Craig between takes. Essentially, it turned what would traditionally require everyone on location into a genuinely flexible, hybrid production workflow.

Additionally, Craig set up a separate monitor in a room inside the stadium — above what can only be described as a very well-stocked snack table! This gave the on-site crew another reference point for the quad-split view.

“Cleanfeed Cinema was exactly what we needed for this shoot. Being able to stream all four camera feeds to our directors in real time, straight from a laptop, meant they could give feedback and direct takes as if they were standing right next to us. The low latency made all the difference — there was no awkward delay, just natural conversation and fast decisions. It’s now a core part of our remote production toolkit.” — Craig Longman, CPL Films
Why it works
This is a great example of Cleanfeed Cinema fitting naturally into a real-world production workflow. Craig didn’t need to overhaul his existing setup or invest in expensive dedicated hardware. Instead, Cleanfeed Cinema did the heavy lifting — delivering a high-quality, low-latency stream to multiple remote viewers with nothing more than a browser link.

For production companies running shoots where directors, clients, or producers can’t always be on set, this kind of setup changes everything. It keeps everyone in the loop and speeds up decision-making. Most importantly, it avoids the costly back-and-forth of reviewing footage after the fact.

Cleanfeed Cinema is the seamless solution for the film and broadcast industry. It’s specifically tailored for synchronous remote collaboration and audio production. Whether you’re streaming live camera feeds to remote directors, recording ADR, running mixing sessions, or conducting real-time reviews — Cleanfeed Cinema is the answer.
